In Germany, U-13 and above must use FIE gear for all tournaments, even unofficial club ones. This means my child, who will turn 11 and be classified as U13 in the next season, must transition from non FIE 'mini' (size 0) to full size (5) FIE weapons. Which blade would you recommend for the transition? Arrow FIE because of the light weight? Or standard FIE blade in hard stiffness for durability? He'll have been fencing ~21 months (incl. a few months of U11 tournament experience) at the start of the season, if that factors into the recommendation. Thanks for any insight!
Thank you for your detailed inquiry. We recommend the Arrow blade, which is lightweight and ideal for both children and adult athletes. Thanks to its properties, it will allow you to try new fencing techniques that may have been previously unavailable or difficult to execute.
Hello
What will be the best setup for an FIE Épée for a parafencer ? == best épée , with the lowest weight
Thanks in advance
Hello!
It depends on what kind of blade stiffness do you prefer. We have regular hard and medium FIE blade. And we have Arrow FIE blade which is more softer and lighter than regular medium FIE
And in national/ international which blade size is used 0 or 5
Hello, John,
In national and international competitions, size 5 blades are used for fencers aged 13 and older (Cadet, Junior, Senior, Veteran).
Size 0 blades are typically used for younger fencers under 13 years old (U9, U11, U13), depending on federation rules.
So for national/international level:
✅ Size 5 is the standard.

Is this epee blade bends easily, does it will easy to fliq.
Hello Rishi Raj
Our Arrow epee blade is more flexible compared to other epee blades. If you are looking for a blade that bends more easily for making flicks, this is a great option.
Good morning, I would like to know exactly the difference in the stifness of the non-FIE blade between F1 and the light one, and which one do you recommend to use in competition
Thank you
looking forward to your reply
best regards
Antonio
Hello Antonio,
Light blades have medium stiffness. F1 blades in sizes 0, 2, and 3 also have medium stiffness, while F1 blades in size 5 are available in two stiffness options: Hard and Medium.
For international competitions, FIE blades are always required. However, for internal club competitions, you can use both Light and F1 blades.
