Our Craftsmanship

UNIC is the epitome of high quality hand forged fencing blades: rapier, epee and sabre. Each blade we create embodies centuries of tradition and advanced technology. It all starts with hand forging, in which every blow of the hammer counts.

Technological Process

After the blades are forged, they are machined using numerically controlled machines (CNC). The blades are then polished to a perfect luster and uniquely engraved with a code. This code allows us to trace the batch number as well as to know when and by whom each blade was made. This allows us to control and monitor the quality of each blade.

Quality Control

We hold the quality of our products in high regard. Every thirtieth epee, rapier or sabre from a batch is subjected to rigorous durability testing, as well as testing for weight, length and metal properties to our company standards.

Choice of Materials

We offer our blades in two types of steel: standard and maragena. Our maragena blades are FIE certified, an international fencing federation, which testifies to their high quality and reliability.
